Alexander J. Bynum

Alexander Bynum is Owner and Principal Broker of Wendell Alexander Realty located in Dresden and Martin in Weakley County, Tennessee. 

In October 2020, Mr. Bynum accepted the role of 2021 President of the Tennessee Association of Realtors. ​Mr. Bynum has been actively involved in the Tennessee Association of Realtors; previously serving as the 2018 Secretary of Treasury for TAR.  As President, Mr. Bynum is a voice for our rural community and rural realtors. 

Striving to be actively involved, Mr. Bynum serves as the Director of the National Association of Realtors; Central West Tennessee Association of Realtors; Tennessee Realtors; 2018 National Association of Realtors Broker Involvement Council; 2018 Tennessee Realtors Budget and Finance Committee; University of Tennessee at Martin Skyhawk Board; The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Board member, a member of the Dresden Rotary Club, and the Weakley County Economic Development Board.  He is also a 2021 Single Family Investment Management Committee Member, 2020 Land Use Property Rights and Environment Committee Member: At-Large, and serves as a member of the Leaders Credit Union Northwest Tennessee Advisory Board. 

Service by Mr. Bynum in official capacities has included: 2020-21 member of the UTM Athletics Advisory Board, 2018 Secretary of Treasury for Tennessee Association of Realtors, 2012-2013 Reelfoot Regional Association of Realtors, President and 2016-2017 Central West Tennessee Association of Realtors, President, Carl Perkins Center for The Prevention of Child Abuse, and Past President of The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, and a 2011 Leadership Weakley County graduate.

Mr. Bynum is a member of the RPAC Hall of Fame, the recipient of the 2018 UT Martin Outstanding Young Alumni Award; 2016 Tennessee Realtors Presidential Award; 2016 Central West Tennessee Association of Realtors Presidential Award; 2014 Interfraternity Council, University of Tennessee at Martin, Advisor of the Year; 2012 National Association of Realtors 30 under 30, Finalist; National Association of Realtors, Political Action Committee (RPAC); and Presidential Circle Golden R Investor.

Born and raised in Weakley County, Mr. Bynum is a 2006 graduate of Gleason High School. In 2009, Mr. Bynum graduated from the University of Tennessee at Martin with a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Business. Bynum is married to Kate Moore Bynum, and they have one daughter, Roane Alexandra.
